Trails and terrain
Multi-day hikes, mountain routes, coastal walks, wilderness trails, and memorable routes across South Africa.
PROJECT
South Africa’s landscapes have given me some of the most memorable experiences of my life — mountain passes, coastal routes, remote paths, caves, valleys, and waterfalls that are worth the effort to reach.
This page is becoming a practical record of those places: not just what they look like, but what people should know before going, how difficult they are, and which experiences are truly unforgettable.
Multi-day hikes, mountain routes, coastal walks, wilderness trails, and memorable routes across South Africa.
A focused collection of the waterfall hikes and viewpoints that stand out most — especially the ones worth planning around.
Access, difficulty, remoteness, driving distance, entrance fees, terrain, and the practical details people often wish they knew earlier.
Routes, landscapes, access notes, and experiences worth documenting.
This project is being built slowly and properly.
Trail maps, route breakdowns, distance, elevation, terrain, and how demanding the hike really feels on the ground.
Photos, gifs, and eventually 3D route views to give a stronger sense of the landscape before people arrive.
Entrance fees, access concerns, seasonal issues, mistakes to avoid, and the practical things that matter when planning a long drive.
